Looking at your beautiful images, I am struck with the expression on the birds' faces. It's as if they are looking at you, Karl, and saying: "thanks for noticing me. I'm part of your world, too."

WOW Karl, like in a "previous life" your are a master of achieving excellence in all you do. The photos and words of great encouragement to take care of all Gods creatures is so special. Incredibly relaxing for us to "flip" thru. Nancy and I are also blessed with some of these beautiful creations and others that are just ho-hum but all have a place in His kingd0m. We see Rose breasted Gross Beaks every spring and fall, plus a Pileated WP every once in a while and of course Ladder Backs, Finches, and too many others to mention. Of course now we are into the fall humming bird wars before their trip across the Gulf. Good to know all is well with you and Louisa and of course you pass in our conversation often as we remember the Shannon and our day and night aboard. So many memories. Thank you for them. Blessings for you all and be safe.
Dear Karl and Louisa (because I know you help),
Your photographs are gorgeous and filled with a sense of wonder and respect for the natural world.
I like your narrative and reference to Wendell Barry: "Find something that needs to be done and start doing it."
It's good to know that you and Louisa are happy living in Freeport, but I miss you!
Time for another lunch.
Enjoy the summer, now that it's here. Cathy

Beautiful. Your photographs show all the reasons we moved to Maine. Thanks.
